Interesting trip to see Russell this past week. We had wondered how the West's pulling out of Afghanistan was affecting our ex-soldier. We weren't surprised to find him depressed, angry and following the various conflab and debates online. We filmed a big chat about what it's like to serve on the ground in a war zone, then thought better of publishing it. It doesn't feel like eleven months since we last saw Russell. He did actually cancel a shoot with Louise at the last minute earlier this year but insists it was because he was collecting a new pet.
